Note on Geomys, a Blueprint for a Sustainable Open Source Maintenance Firm via Filippo Valsorda
From the onset, I envisioned small firms of professional maintainers with thematic portfolios, accommodating diverse maintainers and project sizes, just like the specialized firms of other professionals. I am now ready to try and build one.
This reminds me of the old image of a clay pottery artisan making their own unique pots and selling their style/expertise as a service in the form of the work byproducts.
I hope this continues working.
