Orange Smoke Day in Chicago
We’re having another wildfire smoke day in Chicago (previously), with air so thick that your nose gets black and you taste it in every breath.
As I walked my daughter to school this morning I talked to her about how this smoke has floated a thousand miles to end up stuck in our noses here, about how this is a reminder that we are all connected eventually, about how I hope this will bring rain.
Note
Update: it got way worse later this morning - now up to 250 AQI!!
