You Can See Everything

Seeing is not enough.

This movie shows you, but it's a monkey's paw for us who wanted answers, who wanted to see. You see everything they do but understand nothing of what's going on in their heads.

It's a similar monkey's paw for the actor: you think you can portray someone neutrally, with no side-effects, but really in your embodiment of that person you betray your own opinions and you betray the person.

It's a monkey's paw for the documentarian: you think you can dissect and record silently and cleanly, but really you get messy and develop a relationship.

It was amazing to see Nathan hold silence for so long. I don't think you can make a movie like this twice in your life, so I'm happy that he did so well on this attempt.
