Hike from Indian Bar to Nickel Creek 🥾
The first couple miles were indeed covered in snow again, but not that deep. We saw a black bear coming down from the first pass, a couple hundred yards away, running. The views continue to be great.
The second half of this is though sunny meadows and fallen-tree forests, until you come to a prolonged, switchbacked, downward climb through old growth redcedar and hemlock and ferns, until you meet Nickel Creek. We shared the camp with a larger group going in the opposite direction and swapped advice on water locations.
